The wood has been collected both locally and on many trips to the Western Isles of Scotland including Mull, Jura, Islay, Skye, Lismore and the Ardamurchan peninsula.
The work is inspired by the wood itself and the condition of the wood dictates what can be done with it.
Realism is not the objecivet of his work but rather a desire to capture movement or express a visual experience.
