Colette Walker
Shibori Scarves
Colette Walker's scarf range has been designed using the traditional art of Shibori dying. This type of dying originates from Japan and involves a certain technique of folding and twisting fabric which gives each scarf its unique pattern.
Colette mixes the soft textures of velvet with crinkle fabrics and brocade incorporating her passion for colour and texture. Much of her inspiration is drawn from the North East coastline of Scotland.
Colette originally trained and worked as a graphic designer in Aberdeen before retraining as an art therapist in the Edinburgh area.
She now works in Edinburgh and lives in East Lothian with her two young children.
