“Few dance artists have been as influential as Anna Halprin. In her nine decades as a dancer, she has redefined the art form, abandoning conventions and embracing the wide open field of creative expression. She has brought the healing power of embodied creativity to people around the world. The Tamalpa Institute, International Tamalpa branches and Associates celebrate the life’s work of this amazing woman, co-founder of The Tamalpa Institute, who continues to be a source of inspiration, peace, and social transformation.”

Tamalpa Workshops
Tamalpa UK runs regular workshops alongside the training programme to allow participants to explore and deepen into the Tamalpa Life Art Process. These include:
- Meet The Work
- Tamalpa Experience Workshop
- Summer Retreats
- Graduate Workshops
Meet The Work workshops are a shorter experience than our two day workshops and designed for those who are interested in taking a first step into experienceing the Tamalpa Work. These workshops will introduce participants to Tamalpa and our inter-modal approach. They will include movement, dance, drawing and writing
The Tamalpa Experience Workshop introduces an approach that enlivens dialogue between body and imagination, life experiences and art making. Using movement, drawing, writing and improvisational performance, participants will tap into art's symbolic language to explore current life themes and generate new resources.
Summer Retreats: These two day online retreats offer the opportunity to drop into the powerful intelligence of the body, to play and express with imagination through the arts, to move and dance in a way that unlocks the body’s own wisdom and to bring new vision to the life themes that matter to us in our daily lives.
No previous dance or art experience needed for the three workshops mentioned above.
Graduate Workshops: An opportunity for Tamalpa Training Graduates to continue to develop their practice, share resources, explore needs and develop a supportive community.
