Recent News

It is with great sadness that we received the news of the passing of Lawrence Halprin the renowned landscape architect who not only pioneered approaches to architecture but also had a profound influence on the development of post modern dance through the work with his wife Anna Halprin, the scoring process and RSPV cycles.

I had the privilege to meet both Anna and Lawrence at their home in California whilst studying with Anna at the Tamalpa Institute which was founded by Anna and her daughter Daria as a centre for the research and development of the Life Art Work.

There is a lot of information on the internet about the life and work of this remarkable man. See the obituary written in The New York Times.

Gathering Community

We are about to have our first Tamalpa UK chapter gathering at State Theta Galleries. Nine Tamalpa graduates from the UK will come to work together for 3 days to dance, write, dialogue, explore and share in a creative resource gathering and community building weekend.

The Tamalpa work is practised throughout the world in all kinds of settings from the personal to professional development, in business, cultural, political and environmental arenas.

Visit the Tamalpa website for further information on this work. I will also be running workshops based on this work at State Theta Galleries during 2010.
