Dancing The Feminine Mysteries

The Tara Dance weekend offers an opportunity to experience these sacred dances which bring into expression our highest potential for compassion, wisdom and power.

The dances are taught by Prema Desara who originated them and who has taught them internationally for over 20 years.

Myri Dakini who assists Prema is also an experienced teacher of sacred dance and has taught Tara dances all over south America.

This is a profound and healing dance form which has been blessed by HH Dalai Lama, and has been recognised as an authentic lineage in the Tibetan tradition.

The weekend offers an introductory experience of these dances as well as an opportunity to be taught by two highly experienced and inspiring international teachers.

  • Saturday June 17th - 10.00 - 12.30 & 14.30 - 17.00
  • Sunday June 18th - 10.00 - 12.30


  • Whole Weekend: £150/120
  • Individual Sessions: £40/30

Sessions can be attended individually or the weekend experienced as a whole.

Prema Dasara

Prema is an international teacher of sacred dance and dharma. She is the creator of profound dance practices that are a vehicle of empowerment, revealing within our dancing bodies the highest expression of wisdom and compassion

She is deeply committed to opening the door to the preciousness of our human potential. Integrating methods of Tibetan Buddhist mind training practices with her personal experience of many spiritual paths, she shares her insights with exceptional clarity and lightheartedness.

Prema is the Spiritual and Creative Director of Tara Dhatu, a non-profit organization formed to preserve the integrity of sacred dance practice with presently over 90 centers around the globe. Her work is timely and timeless, a bridge between eastern and western expressions of ancient wisdom, revealing the underlying power of spiritual energy to heal and transform oneself and the world.

Myri Dakini Naves

Myri Dakini, a master of Sacred Dance, is dedicated to manifesting the highest spiritual ideals through the art of Sacred Dance. As a Central Coordinator, Mentor and Guide, she has developed the work of Tara Dhatu throughout South America from her home in Brazil.

Myri has been a professional dancer all her adult life. She has studied and performed modern Ballet, Classical Ballet, Jazz and a new field she calls Conscious Dancing. This focus has included the Dances of Tara, Circle Dances of the World, Dances of Universal Peace and Egyptian Dance.

Myri has worked closely with Prema, mastering the Odissi Style of Classical Indian Dance and is able to bring the delicacy of technique into the powerful Tara Dhatu practices.
