Nana Mzhavnadze Workshop.

10am - 4.30 pm Sat 25th July, 2009. Cost: £25

We are delighted that Nana, (who everyone fell in love with last time !) will  unexpectedly be returning to Edinburgh in July ,and will be able to offer a Georgian song teaching workshop.

She will focus on the Women’s repertoire, and will teach gentle, less well known Iavnana and Batonebi healing songs. She will be working on  quality, rather than quantity, helping us to learn about the subtleties of  flow, and breathing, which help make the sound more authentic.

This workshop may appeal to people who have an interest in healing.

No special musical experience is required.

State Theta Galleries has been chosen as the venue for this workshop 'because of its uplifting beauty, its healing atmosphere , garden access, and wonderful acoustics.'

UNESCO describes Georgian Polyphonic singing as : 'one of the oral and intangible masterpieces of humanity'

See here for travel details. Please bring food to share.
