Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage (MLD) is a form of gentle massage specifically designed to stimulate and improve the functioning of the body's lymphatic system thus encouraging and supporting the immune system in general.

The Technique

Using gentle massage, mobilization and relaxation techniques, the lymphatic system is stimulated and the flow of waste products and excess fluid is encouraged to move from the superficial tissues of the body to be broken down and processed by the lymphatic system and eventually returned to the blood.

The Benefits

MLD can be used for treating many conditions and can be experienced through the enhancement of general well being and functioning of the immune system. MLD can help alleviate excess fluid retention, congestion, sinisitus, swelling and inflammation.

Treatment sessions last approximately 90 minutes including consultation.
